Notice: It's super common in nature for sand to have a small amount silica because it's made up mostly of tiny particles of silicon dioxide, which is just a fancy way of saying it's loaded with a mineral called silica. Think of it as the sand MVP—it's everywhere! This sand is extra special because it's pure and has the right size of particles, making it perfect for all sorts of cool stuff like making glass, casting metal, and even filtering water. So, while other sands might have a bit of silica mixed in, silica sand is the real deal, the top-notch stuff!  Its properties, including high heat resistance and chemical inertness, make it valuable in a wide range of applications.
